Thank you for visiting our website. White
Court County Primary School was established over thirty years ago to
accommodate the development of the White Court Estate and more recently
Great Notley Garden Village. During this time it has grown from 170
pupils to 620 pupils. We have always provided a warm and friendly
welcome and have provided an excellent service to the local community.
During the twenty years that I have been a School Governor I have seen
the addition of a nursery, four building extensions and the inclusion of
French Language lessons for all year groups. The school provides an
excellent learning environment and achieves high standards of education

In April 2013, the Department for Education, Health and Culture, Media
and Sport announced new funding of £150 million to support the delivery
of PE and school sport. Funding is being allocated to all
state-maintained secondary, primary, middle and special schools
(including non-maintained special schools), academies and pupil referral
units with primary aged pupils for the period September 2013 to 31st

We are using our Sport Premium to improve the quality of PE and Sport
provision in the following ways:
Providing staff with outside courses and in-house training to
improve their competence and confidence when teaching PE.
Joining the Braintree Hub. This has meant that White Court have
had more opportunities to take part in outside sporting competitions
including, Cross Country and Korf Ball. It has also provided us links to
Notley High School and resulted in us receiving specialist PE sessions
with trained coaches.
Purchasing new sports equipment for the introduction of new
sports games, including Dodge Ball.
Purchasing new visual aids to support our PE lessons.
More sports equipment for use during playtimes.
Buying new PE clothing for children who take part in wider sports
Purchasing sports clothing for all teachers to wear in PE lessons
so they can set a good example to all children, for safety and to show
good practice in lessons.
Buying new equipment to use as part of the new KS1 Sports Day
Active Kids Club for selected children before school starts in
New PE journals to be used as an assessment and evidence system
Sports Week (to take place in Summer Term). Involving outside
companies, such as DNA Bootcamp to come into school to teach and involve
the children in various PE activities.
