Friends of White Court

The Friends of White Court School (FoWCS) is a registered charity run by volunteers to raise much needed funds for our school. We help organise and deliver events and initiatives throughout the year with lots of support from other parents, family members and school staff. In September 2018 Kelly Ambrose stepped into the role of Chair and with the help of a small team of parents, has been co-ordinating events for the school.

Our committee:

Our Goal:

Over the years FoWCS has helped raise funds to support the school and help provide our children with the best opportunities possible. In the past we have helped with funding new outdoor furniture, garden equipment, IT equipment, a new adventure playground area and bicycle/scooter racks, to enable our children to cycle/scooter to school.

Money raised this year, 2018/2019, will be used to support the school’s re-development of the children’s break and lunch time experience, to purchase much-needed supplies for our 21 classrooms and to update our laptop trollies.

Fundraising Achievements

In 2017/2018 FoWCS introduced the Mother’s and Father’s Day secret shopper rooms which were a huge success and it was lovely hearing all the parent’s reactions to their surprise presents. We bounced into the Summer term with a brilliant inflatables day and finished the year with the awesome (and extremely hot) Summer Fete, which raised an amazing £4,444.

FoWCS have so much fun organising the events for the school, and with the help and support of parents, and the support of all the volunteers, site managers, teaching and office staff, FoWCS managed to raise an incredible £12,519 in 2017/2018!

The money raised has gone towards much-needed classroom resources for each year group and…

How To Get Involved

We need as much help as possible and we would be thankful of any time you can give to FoWCS – an hour of your time makes a huge difference – from baking a cake, delivering leaflets, volunteering at an event or helping to run an event. If you’re interested in helping at event or becoming a member of FoWCS, please contact us via email or Facebook and we can send you a volunteer’s form. We have a database of volunteers that we email out to before each big event asking for volunteers and we are also running a Facebook Messenger group where we discuss ideas. If you think you fancy just dropping some ideas on the messenger group every now and again or being on the volunteer’s database let us know and that would be fantastic. We welcome all new ideas and volunteers.

Easy Fundraising Initiative

You can also get involved not just by volunteering but by taking part in the easy fundraising initiative, simply register with them ( and select our school as your preference and next time you shop online with a huge range of retailers White Court School will receive cash back.
